Little Ave is a thoughtful renovation and extension designed for a young couple embarking on their first home renovation journey. The original home was modest in size but featured a timeless weatherboard façade the clients were keen to retain. Preserving the character of the front elevation was key, so the transformation focused on extending the home to the rear.

The rear extension allowed for the creation of a generous new living zone, including kitchen, walk-in pantry, and laundry, while the existing home received a full facelift. A standout feature of Little Ave is the cathedral ceiling paired with a matching highlight window, maximising natural light and creating a strong sense of space and connection to the outdoors.

The kitchen embraces a modern-classic aesthetic, with extensive panelling used throughout the home to add texture and cohesion. Bathrooms feature floor-to-ceiling tiles, high-quality fixtures and fittings, and beautiful stone finishes. To seamlessly blend the old with the new, recycled flooring was incorporated—half of it reclaimed from the original house—maintaining continuity and warmth. The home was also upgraded to achieve above a seven-star energy rating, resulting in a renovation that balances timeless character, modern comfort, and sustainability.
